The Master of Science in International Management - MIEX allows to acquire the necessary tools and methodology to integrate the international office of a company to manage its international development. Companies propose jobs with different level of responsabilities. The fact to understand a specific geographical zone and to have a professional experience will allow you, during your career, to get high level job in the international employment market.

  • 1st-year program: discovering the core bases

  • 2nd-year program: studying an economics zone

 1st Semester    2nd Semester

Choice of a geographical zone with a high potential development: 
Mexico, Russia, China or Sweden

The student who chooses the Master Level will attend 4/5 months of courses in one of the partner universities of Master MIM/MIEX. This university choice depends on the student's goals, outlooks, and previous interests; students can request a first choice and a second choice.

The hosting Universities have the right to start up courses only with a given number of participants. During the 1st year, you must be present at 4 presentations of each University which will help you in your choice for the second year.

Choice of a Partner University: 
• in Mexico City - Mexico 
• in Moscow - Russia 
• in Shanghaï - China
• in Uppsala - Sweden 

4/5 months of courses between august/september and december

 

"Project work"

Realization of an international mission in an european or non-european company (6 months in the country you chose during the 1st semester).

Depending of their choice, the students can obtain a Certificate or a MAESTRIA from La Salle University, a Certificate or a Master of Science in Economics and Business from Uppsala University, a Master in Management from the MGIMO in Moscow, or a Certificate or a MBA from ECUST in Shanghai.

Final Exam:  

Realization of a professional report then an oral.
This oral can be done in July or in September.

La Salle University, Mexico

= 6 courses :
- Negociation and Business Promoting in America
- Social Responsibility Management
- Legal Context in International Mexican Business Culture
- Mexican Consumer Behavior
- International Entrepreneurship
- Research Methodology

+ Choice of additional courses :
International Business Administration, Health Institutions Administration, Human Resources Capital, Financial and Economical Engineering, IT Management and Business Study Case and Final Project, Visits of Companies.

  East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai

= 5 courses (1 course = 40 teaching hours) :
- Cultural and historical aspects of China
- Chinese Trade Law
- Intercultural aspects of the Chinese communication and
  negotiation: « Doing business with chinese business men »
- Trade environment in China (economical, political,
  environmental, ...)
- The economic politics of China: the major orientation.

Student will have intensive Chinese language training (6h per week during all his stay, with a part on Chinese trade language). 

• Uppsala University, Sweden

= 2 mandatory courses :
- The International Firm in a Global Economy
- Managing the Multinational Corporation

+ Choice of additional courses :
Internationalisation Strategy, International Marketing (Advanced), Sweden's Economic and Social Development in the 19th and 20th Centuries, International Financial Management, Swedish Economy and Business Life, Master Thesis.

 

M.G.I.M.O. University, Moscow

= 6 courses :
- Geopolitical Aspects of Russian Development
- Legal Environment and Entrepreneurship in Russia
- Modern Problems of Russian Economic   Relations
- Russia in Internatiobal Economic Relations
- Entrepreneurship in Russia
- Russian Language

 Focus on the Project Work
The Project Work will take place from January to June for 6 months during the 2nd-year program.  

The project is an individual internship and consists of helping a firm in some aspects of its international activities. The project can be undertaken for either small or large firms. The firm may be located in one's home country or abroad.

Students will be guided by a faculty advisor during their project period. The mission will be evaluated by a report and an oral defense.

 

The oral defense must take place between July and September of the 2nd year. Depending on the student's destination choice for the 2nd year, a Master Thesis (replacing the PW) may be required in order to earn the local degree.
